Camille Nivollet is a freelance photographer who graduated from the École Nationale Supérieure d’Art de Bourges in 2016. Four years later, she completed a course in documentary photography at the ÉMI-CFD. Following this training, she co-founded the Hors Format photographers’ collective. Alongside social reportage and portraits produced for the national press (Libération, Le Monde, La Croix, etc.), Camille develops long-term projects on social issues and alternative lifestyles in France. She explores what brings people together and alternative ways of networking within society and across various fields: education (‘Un temps sans école’), housing (‘Ainsi squattent-ils’) and even with mermaids (‘L’eau absorbe mes larmes’). She works through immersion to enrich her narratives and lend them an intimate dimension. Her projects are exhibited in France and abroad (Griffin Museum, Les femmes s’exposent, Galerie Vu’, etc.).
